Hitomezashi is a Japanese style of sashiko hand embroidery. Beautifully intricate patterns are created with a simple basic stitch using thick cotton Sashiko thread. Hitomezashi patterns are ideal for stitchers that have some experience with basic sashiko stitching techniques. Basic sashiko stitching instructions in English are included with all kits. Each pattern includes Japanese instructions with clear diagrams for stitching order.

--- Once you have finished stitching the design, simply hand wash the piece in cold water and the stitch markings will wash away.
