f.a.q.

Here are the answers to some of the questions I receive most often (with a few extras thrown in that I wish folks would ask more often).  If you can't find the answer to your question here, please feel free to contact me directly.

Hey I live in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill! Can I stop by and visit?

While I do love meeting customers and chatting in person, the downside to running a home-based business is that I do not have a store front for folks to stop by and visit. If you do live or work in Durham though, we might be able to arrange for a local pick up to save you on shipping costs. Please contact me to make arrangements.

Do you offer Wholesale?

Currently, I do not offer Wholesale accounts, but I do offer quantity discounts. If you are interested in purchasing large quantities of a particular item, please contact me for special pricing.

Is custom printing available for the labels that you sell?

Yes, I do offer custom printed labels through my Etsy shop here.

Do you do custom orders?

While I cannot do custom woodwork, I am always happy to customize a kit or a set for you. For example, if you are interested in a 5 person peg doll family but instead of the standard one sold in the shop you would like one with 2 mom dolls and 3 daughter dolls that is no problem. Please feel free to contact me with your requests.

You keep saying "email me" - who are you and what is your email?

I am Claudia, the owner of Snuggly Monkey. My email address is hello@snugglymonkey.com. Drop me a line - I'd love to hear from you!

What is the average weight of a newborn elephant?

Their weight can range between 110lb to 330lbs at birth :)

I love the name "Snuggly Monkey" - how did you come up with it?

When I was pregnant, we decided not to find out whether we were having a boy or a girl. So, every time someone would ask what we were having, our standard answer became "a monkey". Well that led to a monkey themed baby shower and a whole heck of a lot of monkey stuff around our house. When it came time to pick a name for my company, it was inevitable that "monkey" would be in there somewhere. Snuggly Monkey originally began as a handmade ring sling company. Ring slings are perfect for snuggling ... so Snuggly Monkey seemed like a perfect fit. Over the years the business has changed and evolved, but the name stuck.
