These forged carbon steel utility shears can be used in the garden, kitchen, office or studio. Chinese craftsmen originally created these as "bonsai scissors" hundreds of years ago. Thanks to their simple yet useful symmetrical design, they can be used by both right and left handed craftspeople. Although they were traditionally known for pruning small shrubs, their sharp blade and tip make them ideal craft scissors for cutting fabric, threads and more!

Gorgeous and hefty

I love items with multiple functions, and I appreciate when I can use my stitching tools in other realms of my household. These scissors hit both - they are excellent kitchen shears, especially good for cutting herbs. They seem a bit heavy for embroidery, but are great for snipping fabric, sashiko thread, and other more robust textures. They are gorgeous to boot. Their heft makes them a pleasure to use.
