The Sashiko Lucy Locket Pocket Bag Pattern is designed by Jane MacDonald and includes comprehensive instructions for you to make your own Lucy Locket Pocket bag. This bag is the perfect travel companion, featuring the Hitomezashi Sashiko pattern Persimmon. It is a simple pocket pouch to keep all of your essential close at hand.

Requirements based on 44” wide fabric.

Recommended fabrics: medium weight linen or linen blend, quilting cotton or lightweight canvas

  • 1 x piece of Dot Grid fabric measuring 6.75" x 17" or fabric of your choice & mark your own 5mm grid
  • 2 x lining fabrics & 2 x lightweight iron-on interfacing (10 1/2inches x 6 1/2inches) 
  • 2 x 20m sashiko thread 
  • 2 x contrasting fabric for the base (3 1/4inches x 6 1/2inches)
  • Long Sashiko needle
  • Sashiko thimble
  • 2 x 7inch lengths of 3mm waxed cording
  • 2 x 1 1/4inch lengths of webbing
  • 2 x 6mm D-rings 
  • 1 x clip on bag strap

General supplies: sewing machine, hand sewing needles, fabric scissors, cutting mat, rotary cutter and quilters ruler
