The Cherry Blossom Tree sampler is a large scale project that would make a beautiful wall hanging or can easily be incorporated into a quilt or blanket. Due to the size of the project it is recommended for advanced beginners, however Sashiko is very beginner friendly so it can be stitched by an adventurous beginner as well!

beautiful and enjoyable project

I really enjoyed working this up. You can feel that the fabric is very high-quality, and it has a nice heft with a bit of a sheen. The printed design is crisp and clear-- no smudges, no missing bits.

It worked up beautifully, and I've gotten so many compliments. It's a striking piece when finished.

For reference, I got the kit (panel + fabric). I ended wanting to add more frequent color changes to the blossoms than the variegated thread allowed, so I purchased some additional colors. That's obviously just personal preference; for a project like this, there are no rules, and I would recommend having fun making it your own!
