Nishikiito thread by Cosmo Lecien is a truly exceptional metallic hand embroidery thread. Made in Japan using the same techniques used for the traditional golden threads used to make kimono, Nishikiito thread has a beautiful bright, glossy sheen and abrasion-resistant. The feel of the thread is much softer and smoother than standard metallic threads, so it snags less and is easier to work with.

Loved this thread! I had to embroider two fancy women wearing metallic evening gowns and I was able to freestyle with this thread doing lots of curves and shapes without a problem. This will be a staple from now on.

Just as described, warm yellow gold. I'm looking forward to using it as accenting and lettering in embroidery. Seller was extremely helpful when my package got mislaid through no fault of her own.
