The Hexagonal Palm Thimble from Lemon Loom is a versatile tool that is ideal for Sashiko style stitching, mending, hand quilting and more. The soft leather thimble features an adjustable elastic band to accommodate a wide range of finger sizes comfortably. The large hexagonal design gives you a larger area for pushing your needle through layers of fabric and the double flap design allows you to use this thimble as a needle puller as well! Simply wrap the tip of your needle between the two layers and allow the extra grip from the thimble to help you pull your needle through sticky spots.PRODUCT DETAILS:
Does exactly what it's supposed to and protects my palm. I love the little flaps for pulling the needle through.
I’ve been doing kantha quilts and with the first one my fingers were so sore and my thumb split twice. I bought one of these and started pushing with it on my palm and WOW, what a difference!! No more sore fingers! I was so pleased that I bought another so I could have them in different organizer pouches.
When I first felt the leather of this I wondered how well it would grip, the leather was so buttery and soft. I used it while working on a sashiko project and couldn't believe how easy it was to grasp the needle and pull it through! I did find it a bit awkward, at first, figuring out where to wear it so it was most comfortable and easy to access -- I think that's a major benefit of this thimble, it is so versatile in how you can position it and use it. Here's hoping some more colors will be restocked soon, this is the sort of tool I'd like to have in a few places!
It is really great and comfortable using this. This is far best than other. I really like it. Glad it sells at Snuggly Monkey. You will love it. I am thinking about getting two for my girls' christmas gift.
I love this thing! I do a lot of dense embroidery and I'd often have a hard time pushing the needle through to the point where I'd be using a pair of pliers! Not anymore! It's so comfortable to wear, like Claudia said I forget I have it on and end up wearing it all day! And it pushes the needle through easily without pain! So glad I found this tool.
