KAI scissors are made in Japan. The black handle KAI scissors and shears are made of fine stainless steel with vanadium. KAI sewing scissors and shears are hand polished and balanced allowing for fatigue-free cutting on all types of fabrics. Soft ergonomic handle grips and hardened stainless steel blades offer superior cutting action for quilting, crafting or dressmaking.

The Kai 5100C: 4-inch Needle Craft (Curved Tip) Scissors have sharp, pointed, and curved tips that allow for flexibility in clipping jump stitches in embroidery designs, lettering, machine quilting, beadwork, and fly tying for fishermen.  

The curved tips on the 5100C also aid in cutting away stabilizers from the back of embroidery projects and they are useful for appliqué projects as well.

Buy these scissors!

I bought these for cross stitch, and they are exactly what I wanted. Small, lightweight, and SO sharp! The curved tip helps me not cut into my Aida cloth accidentally. Such high quality! I would buy these again in a heartbeat!

Very sharp and the curved tip allows for close snipping near ground fabric or canvas. These are better than the cheaper ones found on the rainforest.
