Sashiko Embroidery Kit - Nadeshiko(1102 / 429)

Sashiko is a Japanese style of hand embroidery. Beautifully intricate patterns are created with a simple running stitch using thick cotton Sashiko thread. Sashiko is great for beginning and advanced stitchers alike. Easy to learn and relaxing to do!

Basic Sashiko Instruction Sheet available for download here.

La Bouquetiere is a new collection of Sashiko Samplers by Olympus that merge moyozashi, hitomezashi and kuguri-sashi styles of stitching. These designs are available as cotton samplers as well as complete kits.

:: The Nadeshiko design is Pre-Printed in Washable ink on 100% Cotton Fabric
-- The pre-printed stitch markings show you exactly where to stitch
--- Once you have finished stitching the design, simply handwash the piece in cold water and the stitch markings will wash away.

:: Design Number: Sampler Only (1102) or Complete Kit (429)

:: The panel is approximately 12" x 12" ( 31cm x 31cm)
-- Includes Double folded 100% cotton fabric that permits you to easily turn your finished project into a pillow!

:: Made in Japan by Olympus

:: Available as either the PATTERN ONLY or as a SASHIKO KIT
----> The PATTERN ONLY option includes the pre-printed cotton sampler only. (There is NO thread or accessories included with this option. You will need approximately 100m of thread to complete the design).

---> SASHIKO KIT - The Kit option includes the pre-printed fabric pattern, enough Olympus Thin Sashiko thread to complete the design in 4 different colors and a package of Olympus Sashiko Needles.

New sampler

I'm looking forward to stitching these new Olympus samplers that feature several kinds of sashiko stitching in a single piece. Plus, more ways to play with colored threads!
