The Great Wave of Kanagawa Sashiko Sampler (2094)

Sashiko means "little stabs" and is a Japanese style of hand embroidery. Beautifully intricate patterns are created with a simple running stitch using thick cotton Sashiko thread. Sashiko is great for beginning and advanced stitchers alike. Easy to learn and relaxing to do!

Because of the small stitches in this detailed design, THIN sashiko threads like Daruma or Yokota work best for this sampler.

Beautiful but Disappointing.

I love this pattern and the stitchery when complete looks amazing. The biggest issue however is that the pattern wears off easily with the heat from my hands/fingers as I am stitching it. I have lost a lot of the definition of the pattern because I am no longer able to see the lines. Disappointing.
