Essex Yarn Dyed Linen Blend fabrics from Robert Kaufman are woven with black and white threads in the warp, which gives this collection its distinctive textured look. Heavier than quilting cotton with a full-bodied drape, this classic fabric is ideal as a base for embroidery projects, garment sewing, bag making, home decor, quilting and more.

I have used Essex Yarn-dyed linen blend for clothing and for project bags, and it is a lovely fabric with lots of color options. I am now using it as a background fabric for an English paper piecing project and I love hand stitching on it. I will definitely use it for my next embroidery project.
