The Nara Homespun Collection from Japanese fabric designer Sevenberry brings old world Japanese charm and rustic character to your modern day projects. These beautiful fabrics are woven using time tested techniques that produce a heavier weight cotton fabric with a full bodied drape and soft hand. Ideal for Sashiko, Boro-inspired projects, bag making, quilting and garment sewing.
:: Length: 1/2 yard (Cut continuously)

Has a nice linen feel to it. Both sides are different and beautiful. The reverse side has more blue. Nice drape and texture.
Bought this beautiful fabric for my stash! I love having some wonderful for small sewn items or gifts.
I've touched a lot of fabric in my life, and of all the cottons, and so far this is my favorite. It's heavier than I expected, and loosely woven, which gives it a better drape than plain woven cotton usually has. The blue is a very deep, true indigo, and the not-blue is close to white on one side and a light tan on the other, like natural linen, which I think adds some versatility. I'm not sorry for buying what I think was the last three yards, but I hope you get more. This is worlds away from the imitation shibori fabric you can get from quilting stores; it's so hard to find patterns like this on real apparel fabrics.
Very interesting textural weave and pattern.
